In two sheet, the title not withstanding.  Uncommon pair of engraved folio sheet  maps with original block hand color.  

Of particular note is the undefined island labelled "Land of ye Company accord. to the Dutch" sitting northwest above the huge "Isle of Jesso". Another undefined island sits in the northern "Icy Sea" which is labelled "Land seen in 1723". An engraved note above the Sea of Okhotsk reads: "Whenever the word Ostrog is found it signifies a Town pallasaded round to keep out the wild beast". Much else of interest to be found upon closer inspection.

Each sheet measures 27 1/2"  x  21."  Map area measures 22"  x  19."

In VG+ condition, with a bit of offsetting, old centerfold repair to one sheet.
