Issued for the "Nouvel Atlas ou Theatre du Mondre.  Representant l'Allemagne avec toutes sese parties, comprennant tout le Corps de l'Empire Romain" in Amsterdam, 1644. French Edition.  Imprint at bottom right reads "Amstelodami Apud Joannem Janssonium".

A fine and attractive mid-17th century folio sheet map of this German region.  We see numerous cities in this central Germany region including Waldeck, Hallenberg, Frankenberg, Merseburg, Zuschen and Meschede.  With original outline hand color and an attractive title cartouche with coats of amrs above it.  Distance scale sits within an vignette border depicting cherubs.

In VG+ to near excellent clean condition w/ an overall very appealing visual effect. Very framable.  An uncommon mid-17th century map.

Sheet measures c. 22 1/2" x 19 1/4".  Image area measures c. 20" x 15".
