 Issued for the "Nouvel Atlas ou Theatre du Mondre. Representant l'Allemagne avec toutes sese parties, comprennant tout le Corps de l'Empire Romain" in Amsterdam , 1644.  French Edition. Imprint at bottom left reads "Amstelodami Apud Henricum Hondium".

A fine and attractive mid-17th century folio sheet map of this southern German region. We see the Danube River flowing prominently along the right w/ Boden Sea at upper left.  Also includes a profusion of cities denoted by tiny cathedrals including Kempten , Augsburg , Ulm and Mengen. With original outline hand color and an attractive ornate title cartouche; key at bottom right.

In VG+ to near excellent clean condition w/ an overall very appealing visual effect. Very framable. An uncommon mid-17th century map.

Sheet measures c. 22 1/2" x 19 1/4". Image area measures c. 20" x 15".
