A fine and attractive mid-17th century folio sheet map of this German region bordering Switzerland and Bavaria . We see the Boden See  ( Lake Constance ) at center w/ the Rhine flowing out. Also includes a profusion of cities denoted by tiny cathedrals including Zurich , Kempten , Baden, Regensburg , Strassbourg and Heidelberg . With original outline hand color and an attractive vignette title cartouche; key at top left.

In VG+ to near excellent clean condition w/ an overall very appealing visual effect; old repair on the reverse is not at all noticeable from the front. Very framable. An uncommon mid-17th century map.

Sheet measures c. 22 1/2" x 19 1/4". Image area measures c. 20" x 15".
