A fine and attractive mid-17th century folio sheet map of this German region surrounding the Rhine River . We see numerous cities denoted by tiny red cathedrals including Wesel , Orsay , Munster , Coblentz, Duren and Dortmund . Several coat of arms dot the image. With original outline hand color and an attractive title cartouche. Distance scale sits within an ornate border at bottom right.

In VG+ to near excellent clean condition w/ an overall very appealing visual effect. Very framable. An uncommon mid-17th century map.

Sheet measures c. 22 1/2" x 19 1/4". Image area measures c. 20" x 15".
