A pleasing 17th century map of the island of St. Thomas off the coast of West Africa. We see Guinea to the north and Congo to the right. Sailing ships surround the island as well as 2 smaller islands of "Prince" & "Fernando Poo".
Very appealing visually, in excellent antiquarian condition with beautiful full hand color. On a c. 5 1/4" W x 8" H sheet, image area c. 4" W x 5 1/2" H.
