A fine, detailed and attractive mid-17th century folio sheet map of this German region bordering the Netherlands. We see hundreds of smaller cities, towns and villages, including Aachen, Cologne, Kempen, Heinsberg and Ratingen. With original outline hand color and an attractive title cartouche w/ a coat of arms. Distance scale sits within a simple border at top left.

In VG+ condition, a small spot, but really mostly very clean w/ an overall appealing visual quality. Very framable. A nice and uncommon mid-17th century folio map.

Sheet measures c. 22 1/2" x 19 1/4". Image area measures c. 20" x 15".
