A lovely late-18th century engraved map w/ full hand color. We see all of North America including "West Greenland" and the Bering Strait. Heavily detailed US east of the Mississippi w/ a near blank western US. Note the mountain ranges. Image sits within a simple border.
In VG+ condition w/ a short tear on the right side (due to the inset tab as issued as seen) which goes slightly into the image area (this has been expertly repaired on the reverse and is hardly noticeable). Original fold lines, also as issued. A lovely and uncommon 18th century engraved map w/ hand color.
Sheet measures c. 20" x 15 1/4."
