A mid to late 19th century folio single sheet map of the states Delaware and Maryland w/ original full color. We see counties colored in contrast; major roadways and railroads as they existed in the mid-19th century as well as topography. Inset at bottom left depicts the District of Columbia. Appealing intricate scrollwork border.
In near fine condition. A very uncommon 1870's issue of this map. Dated 1855 on the map but comes from an atlas dated 1875; thus we believe this map shows variation from other issues.
Single sheet measures c. 17 1/2" x 14 1/2".
