A very large late 19th century folio sheet map of Australia, lithographed w/ full original hand color. Counties colored in contrast, a high level of detail w/ hundreds of towns and dozens of railways (all labeled) as they existed in the 1880's. Smaller inset at bottom center depicts "Tasmania"; larger inset at right depicts "New Zealand" w/ a key referencing county names.
In near fine clean condition, original centerfold.
Double sheet measures 26" x 19." Map area measures 22" x 14 1/4."
