A delightful late 16th century wood block map of Brugge. A splendid map of this Belgian city.
The wood block image displays a wonderful medieval style and vitality quite particular and unique to wood engraved maps of this vintage.
Quite a scarce map, a nice impression, mostly clean condition, well preserved for its sheer age. Minimal amount of "show through," light soiling.
On an c. 8" x 12" sheet, (image size is c. 6 1/4" x 5").
