A very detailed mid -18th century Plan for the city of Paita, Peru.
A charming mid-18th century copper engraved map with lovely hand color. We see Port Paita in Sante Fe, Peru. Dutch title at bottom, "Grond-Tekening van de Stad Paita, in 'T Koningryk Santa-Fe.".
In VG+ antiquarian condition with beautiful full hand color, original fold lines as issued. Small spot of light discoloration in title cloud at top left.
Sheet measures c. 15" x 10 1/4". Image area measures c. 14" x 8 1/2".
