A splendid late 18th century map w/ full hand color. Depicted is the sea between Waigats (New Zemlia Islands) and North Russia. We see "Nouveau Walcheren" in the west as well as the islands Maurice and Orange. Rhumb lines and title sits within a simple cartouche at top center.
In VG+ to near fine, clean antiquarian condition w/ full hand color. Appears to be quite scarce.
Sheet measures c. 13 3/4" x 10 1/4". Image area measures c. 12" x 8 1/2".
