A charming world map sheet lying beneath an armillary sphere. The map shows California as an island in the highly unusual REVERSED position!
The engraver clearly engraved it correctly, so when it was printed, it comes out reversed.
Sheet measures 6" x 8." Image area measures 3 3/4" x 5 1/4."
In VG+ to near excellent condition with expert detailed hand color.
