A large detailed mid-19th century folio sheet Johnson map with full original hand color. We see carriage roads, rivers and canals as they existed in the Civil War era. The image area is framed by a lovely patterned scroll border.
In VG+, clean antiquarian condition for this fine large mid-19th century Johnson map. Exhibits mild light toning, nothing severe or detracting and overall very appealing visually (hardly worth mentioning). A short minor centerfold split at bottom, easy to repair with archival tape. Perfect for framing, with a nice age patina.
Sheet measures 26" x 18." Map area measures 24" x 17 1/2."
