Charming mid-19th century lithographed map with original hand color. With a vast region labeled "Unknown Interior", mention of Richard Burton discovering lake Tanganyika in 1859, Mt. Kilimanjaro 20,000 ft., "Barth's Route" prominent shown, caravan routes, etc. A profusion of details during a period of great cartographic change.
In VG+ to near excellent clean condition, couple short edge tears now repaired with archival tape and invisible once framed.
