A wonderful and large detailed late 19th century lithographed nautical map of this Virginia river. One of a series of 4 of this river which we'll be auctioning today so if a buyer wants, they can assemble them together.
In VG to VG+ clean antiquarian condition. Perfect for framing or for research. Paper is still in pretty good shape, some short splits along the fold-line intersections. The lighting seems to accentuate and exaggerate the toning in the fold-lines.
Sheet measures 20 1/2" x 31." Map area measures 17 1/2" x 29."
