: published Amsterdam, 1631 for Gerard Mercator's "Atlas Minor". Latin title across the top reads "Marocci Regnum". A nice example with lovely full hand color; numerous important towns are highlighted by tiny cathedral symbols, then in red. Title, "Marocchi Regnum", sits within a strapwork cartouche as does the distance scale.
In VG+ to near excellent clean condition. A desirable and lovely early 17th century map of Morocco, northern Africa from this scarce and now very expensive atlas.
Sheet measures c. 6 3/4"H x 8 1/4", image area c. 5 3/4" x 7 1/2".
