Published in Amsterdam, 1630 for Gerard Mercator's "Atlas Minor." German title across the top reads "von Engelandt". A nice example of this uncommon early 18th century map with lovely full hand color; numerous important towns are highlighted by tiny red cathedral symbols on each of the islands. We see present-day Isle of Wight, Jersey, Guernsey and Anglesey islands. Each island has its own cartouche.

Map measures c. 9 3/8" W x 7 1/8" H (image area measures c. 7 3/4" W x 5 3/8" H).

In VG+ to near excellent clean condition. A desirable and lovely early 17th century map of England's Channel Islands from this scarce and now very expensive atlas.
