A very scarce early 18th century plan of this English coastal town. Very detailed indeed, with a clear layout to the topography, individual ships and houses visible. A large compass rose in the ocean. Beautifully hand colored.
A rare English plan seldom encountered. Map measures c. 8" W x 12 1/2" H (image area measures c. 6 3/8" W x 8 3/4" H).
