Norvegia et Svecia; published Amsterdam, 1631 for Gerard Mercator's "Atlas Minor". Dutch title across the top reads "Beschryuinge van Norwegen ende Zweeden". A nice example with lovely full hand color; numerous important towns are highlighted by tiny cathedral symbols, then in red. Title sits within a strapwork cartouche and the distance scale within a banner. Sheet measures c. 9 " W x 6 1/2 " H, image area c. 7 3/4" W x 5 1/4 " H.
In VG+ to near excellent clean condition. A desirable and lovely early 17th century map of Scandinavia from this scarce and now very expensive atlas.
