A wonderful mid-19th century steel engraved view of Skenectady, NY on the Mohawk River.  A scarce and lovely view, finely engraved very much in the style of Bartlett. 3 vignette scenes surround the image, including "Strickland's Plain, 1646" at lower left, "Frontgnac's Barbarities", and "Method of Hunting for Buffalo in Winter" at top.

 In near fine clean condition. Beautifully hand colored. Sheet measures 10 5/8" W x 6 7/8" H , image measures 6" W x 3 1/2" H. 

An uncommon and decorative 19th century view from the middle of the 19th century.
