A lovely and detailed mid-19th century lithographed nautical chart of this New England Harbor.
The harbor is depicted in charming detail, the entire area well depicted for the mid-19th century date as well.
Because these government coastal survey maps were issued on a thin, almost rice paper, they are virtually always found in delicate fragile condition, with fold lines splitting; unframable basically. This map has been archivally cleaned and expertly lined on the reverse with a thin archival paper, then beautifully and professionally hand colored for a wonderful visual effect.
It is now in superior, near excellent antiquarian condition.
Sheet measures 16" W x 19 1/4" H. Image measures 14 1/2" W x 17 1/2" H.
