A lovely and detailed mid-19th century lithographed nautical chart of this New England Harbor.
The harbor is depicted in charming detail, the entire area well depicted for the mid-19th century date as well. Because these government coastal survey maps were issued on a thin, almost rice paper, they are virtually always found in delicate condition, with fold lines splitting, unframable basically. This map has been archivally cleaned and expertly lined on the reverse, then beautifully and professionally hand colored for a beautiful effect.
It is now in superior, near excellent antiquarian condition.
Sheet measures 16" W x 19 1/4" H. Image measures 14 1/2" W x 17 1/4" H.
