Very large, wall-map size engraved map with expert detailed hand color. Boasts a wonderful large decorative cartouche, sailing ships, an extensive list of towns and villages, etc.
Sheet measures 39" W x 24 1/2" H; image measure 37 1/2" W x 22 1/2" H.
In VG to VG+ condition, expertly repaired along the fold lines as typical for these huge Moll maps. Due to the very large oversize format with 3 horizontal folds as issued, they are almost always found in need of some restoration. This example has been expertly worked on and is now a very nice example for framing and display- the repairs are minimally visual overall and in no way detracting.
