A detailed and lovely early 19th century engraved map of this portion of the Georgia coast. Countless sounding depths. A charming simple outline plan of Sapello island, noting flow of the tides with arrows, buoys, shoals, a beacon and a lighthouse, trees, etc.
Beautifully hand colored. In VG+, mostly clean condition. Uncommon thus. Sheet measures 10 5/8" W x 8 3/4" H , image measures 8 7/8" W x 8 1/4" H.
