To view one of 3 available close-ups, click on the area you wish to see. This wonderful 16th century wood-cut map of the former southern German region of Austria, including Vienna and the Wachau river. This region includes portions of modern day Czechosolvakia and Hungary. Most charming, with many cities symbolized with small building symbols, and numerous rivers and forests. Below the map is a wonderful large coat of arms with lions on either side. With attractive full hand color which greatly enhances the visual appeal of the map. The view displays a distinctly medieval feel about it. About as nice an example as one could hope to encounter. With the original text relating to the map around it. In VG+ to near excellent
antiquarian condition. Sheet measures c. 8 1/4 " W x 13 " H, images
measure c. 5 1/4 " w x 3 1/2 " H; the Lion image is c. 4 " W x 1
3/4 " H. Ordering: Please use the Buy Me button below, or phone the shop to order this map.
