"Winfield Scott," issued 1862, New York.
A lovely mid-18th century portrait of Commander Winfield Scott. "Old Fuss and Feathers" received his greatest acclaim as a soldier in the war of 1812 and wars fought in the west suppressing Indian insurrection. He ran for President as the Whig representative, but lost in the early going to Franklin Pierce (1852).
In VG+ antiquarian condition. Lovely full hand color.
