An beautiful and fascinating late 17th century map of the Americas, showing the far islands of the Pacific including New Zealand, California AS AN ISLAND, and part of Greenland, with countless place names and rivers. Australia is marked "Terra Austrasis Incog." A charming vignette cartouche with European and Indian costumed figures at bottom center. Numerous sailing ships and undefined erroneous islands. In VG+ to excellent antiquarian condition. Original fold lines as issued. With beautiful hand color. Sheet measures c. 8 1/2"h. x 11 1/4" w. Image measures c. 5 3/4" h. x 8 1/2" w.
