Shows the continent as a whole, with various regions such as "Ethiopia" and "Monomotapa" broadly labeled. Note the vast region of the interior designated 'Parts Unknown.' Shows major mountain ranges, rivers, deserts, and even marshes. Features a gorgeous, large decorative cartouche and a simple compass rose topped by a fleur-de-lys. In VG+ antiquarian condition; original fold line, as issued. With beautiful, full hand color. Sheet measures c. 17
1/2" W x 14 3/4" H; image area measures c. 13" W x 11" H.
PLEASE NOTE: the left side of the map appears rather pink
in the photo where in actuality the map is off-white/natural colored and quite
uniform.
