An engraved map depicting the ancient country of Gaul (now France) in the time of Julius Caesar.  Also shows part of England, Spain, and Germany, Belgium and Switzerland.  Gives a number of ancient place names, many of which are now obsolete.  Shows major rivers and mountain ranges.  Features a nice fleur-de-lys compass at upper right. 

With attractive full hand color.

 In VG+ to near excellent antiquarian condition; original fold line as issued.  Sheet measures 11 7/8"W x 7 1/2"H, image measures 8 7/8"W x 6"H.
