"Belli Trojani Cicuitus Secundum Dictyn Cretensem & Daretem Phrygium," issued in 1726, London, by Herman Moll. An engravedmap depicting the Mediterranean region east of Italy in the time of the Trojan War, conjectured to have occurred c.1200 BC. Shows what is now Greece, Turkey, the Middle East, and Egypt. Also shows a small part of Italy. Gives a number of ancient place names, many of which are now obsolete. The "Amazones" mountain range can be seen in the eastern Turkey. Features a simple box cartouche.
In VG+ to near excellent, clean condition; original fold line as issued. Attractive full hand color.
Sheet measures 11 1/2" W x 7 1/2" H" W, image measures 9" W x 6 1/8" H.
