A very appealing, early 18th-century, engraved plan of Namur, the capital of Wallonia, situated on the Meuse River in Belgium. Shows the citadel, considered the largest fortification in Belgium. Four churches are individually rendered within the plan; and two charming sailing ships are shown upon the Meuse. At top left, a charming vignette cartouche depicts a swordfight; and at top right are two cherubs holding a shield or coat-of-arms. Also of note are the grazing horses at bottom left. In VG+
