"A Plan of the City of Hanover," issued 1800, Piccadilly, by J. Stockdale. An uncommon and lovely engraved city plan. Key at left identifies 33 points of interest, such as churches, the Barnstorf inn, "the Great Brew House," etc. Inset at upper left shows the layout of Herenhausen Castle. Charming pictorial cartouche depicts a wolf or fox by a castle surrounded by trees.
In VG+ to near fine condition. With gorgeous hand color. Sheet measures approx. 11 3/8"W x 8 3/4"H. Image measures c. 9 1/2" W x 6 3/8" H.
