"Aniou," issued 1734, Amsterdam, by de Sauzet. A lovely and uncommon early 18th century engraved map of Anjou, a region in France along the Loire River, east of Nantes. Shows the Loire River, and other rivers, along with hills and forests. Major cities are indicated with small cathedral symbols, some highlighted in red. Also features a nice strapwork cartouche and a distance scale.
With gorgeous hand color. Measures approx. 16 1/8"W x 10 3/8"H. Image measures c. 10" W x 7" H. With lovely full hand color.
