"Austrian and French Netherlands," issued in c. 1735, London, engraved by J. Gibson. An attractive small folio map of the Austrian and French Netherlands, now Belgium. Gives a number of place names; major cities are indicated with small cathedral symbols. Also shows major lakes and rivers. Features a large lovely strapwork and floral cartouche and a large compass rose. With gorgeous hand color.
In VG+ to near excellent antiquarian condition, with a few slight light spots/soiling to margins (not in the least detracting). Original fold line as issued.
Sheet measures c. 18 1/8 " W x 14 3/4 " H, engraved image area measures c. 12 1/2 " W x 11 " H. Really an appealing 18th century map.
