An attractive, early 19th-century map of Cassel, Germany.  Cassel, a transportation center and home of the palace of the former elector of Hesse-Cassel,  is located on the Fulda River.  Table at left locates 35 points of interst, including the tennis court, foundry, arsenal, hospital, and churches.  The cartouche located at the bottom in the center depicts of children playing near a windmill. 

  In VG+ condition overall, very attractive and visually pleasing.  Full hand colored engraving. A stunning plan precisely engraved.

Sheet measures c. 8 3/4" H x  11 3/8 " W.  Image measures c. 6 1/2" H x 9 5/8" W.
