"Priests or Monks of Fo, from Nieuhof" c. 1753, London. Engraved by Basire. A charming mid-18th century view of Chinese priests derived from Nieuhof. Four different types are depicted in a nice setting with a temple behind them. Note the great hat of the one in the middle!
Beautifully hand colored, in VG+ condition. Sheet measures c. 9 1/4 " W x 7 3/8 " H. Engraved image measures c. 8 1/8" W x 6 " H.
