"Portugais," issued in 1717, Lyon, by de la Croix. Engraved by M. Ogier. A very scarce early 18th century engraved costume plate of natives of Portugal.
Very attractive indeed, with superior full hand color. A nice coat of arms suspended by swags hangs above the natives depicted, buildings in the distant background.
In VG+ to near excellent antiquarian condition. Sheet measures c. 3 5/8 " W x 6 3/8 " H, image area measures c. 3 " W x 5 " H.
