A very appealing group of stereoscope views of Japan, produced in c.1925 by the Keystone View Company. This company produced very high quality stereo views in the early part of the 20th century which were very popular in their day, although many of the views from the 1920's are actually somewhat less common than many people believe. Indeed, as the national fad of stereography began to fade in popularity in the 1920's, many of these views must have had relatively limited distribution and were produced for a relatively short period.
These particular views are in lovely clean condition and are titled as follows: "Idyllic Spot where Japanese maids Delight to Stroll - Beautiful Private Garden Of Japan," "Beloved of Artists and Poets - Snow-capped Fuji, the Sacred Mountain of Japan," "A Family Picnic under the cherry Blossom, Omuro Gosho, Kyoto, Japan," "A Country Girl among the Famous Tea Fields of Shizuoka, Japan," Where Intensive Agriculture Is a Necessity - Setting Out Rice Plants, Japan," and "Dotombori or Theater Street, 'The Great White Way' of Osaka, Japan."
The tones are rich and the resolution is very sharp.
In near excellent, clean antiquarian condition with great visual appeal. Each measures c. 7" x 3 1/2". Backs have extensive descriptive text relating to the views.
