A very appealing group of stereoscope views of California, produced in c.1925 by the Keystone View Company. This company produced very high quality stereo views in the early part of the 20th century which were very popular in their day, although many of the views from the 1920's are actually somewhat less common than many people believe. Indeed, as the national fad of stereography began to fade in popularity in the 1920's, many of these views must have had relatively limited distribution and were produced for a relatively short period.
These particular views are in lovely clean condition and are titled as follows: "The Glorious Yosemite Valley, from Glacier Point, Calif.," "Majestic Yosemite Falls Beautifully Reflected in Nature's Mirror, Yosemite Valley, Calif.," "Mt. Shasta (14,440 Ft.) North over Strawberry Valley and Sisson, California," Market Street - Twin Peaks in the Distance, San Francisco, Calif.," and "The Oldest Living Things on Earth - 'Wawona,' One of the Giant Redwood Trees in Mariposa Grove, Calif."
The tones are rich and the resolution is very sharp.
In near excellent, clean antiquarian condition with great visual appeal. Each measures c. 7" x 3 1/2". Backs have extensive descriptive text relating to the views.
