In one photo, a well-dressed woman and several children under her charge stand before a statue of Hugo Grotius, the Dutch statesman of the 16th century sometimes called the 'father of international law.' The other photo is a view of the Stadhuis, or 'City Hall.' in the center of the city. Both were taken by the important early Dutch photographer A. Jager. In VG+ antiquarian condition, some light gentle aging, nice scenes with people with great visual appeal. Measures 6 1/2" x 4 1/4". Sold as a group only.
