A set of 4 very appealing stereoscope views of the picturesque Swiss city. The set includes two views of the city in which Lake Lucerne can be seen, and in which the daunting Swiss Alps loom in the background. There is a charming view of the church and covered bridge of Old Lucerne. The set also includes a view of the "Lion of Lucerne", by the Danish sculptor Thorwaldsen. These stereo-views were produced in 1901 by Underwood & Underwood.
In near excellent, clean antiquarian condition with great visual appeal. Measures 7" x 3 1/2". Detailed and comprehensive descriptions of the views are printed in English on the reverse of each card.
