A lovely assemblage of 30 fine condition turn-of-the-century postcards of the Swiss Alps.  Many cards in this set focus on the scenic Gemmi Pass.   These were bought there by a woman who took a grand tour of Europe in the first part of the 20th century and neatly tucked them into an album almost 100 years ago. They are just now seeing the light of day- for the most part, aside from tiny minor flaws, they are in lovely, fresh, clean condition, close to the day they were bought. They are almost entirely unused, bought as souvenirs by a post card collector who seemed to have a pretty good eye for interesting cards which captures the feel of the city at this time.  

Postcards measure c. 5 3/8 " W x 3 1/2 " H.

A dizzying assemblage of Alpine views. Very nice overall.
