Fine early Postcard collection of Edinburgh, Scotland -  c.1908

A lovely assemblage of 22 fine condition turn-of-the-century postcards of the city.   These were bought there by a woman who took a grand tour of Europe in the first part of this century and neatly tucked into an album almost 100 years ago. They are just now seeing the light of day- for the most part, aside from tiny minor flaws, they are in lovely, fresh, clean condition, close to the day they were bought. They are almost entirely unused, bought as souvenirs by a post card collector who seemed to have a pretty good eye for interesting cards which captures the feel of the city at this time.  Includes views of Edinburgh Castle, the Forth Bridge, Braid Hill's Golf Course, and a charming scene of sheep grazing before the Royal Infirmary.

Postcards measure c. 5 3/8 " W x 3 1/2 " H.
