"A Plan of Porto Grande Bay on the West side of the Isle of St. Vincent in Sight of the Island of St. Anthony taken from Frazier", issued London, 1746 for Astley's rare Voyages and Travels set (engraved by T. Kitchin in 1744). An uncommon and well engraved mid- 18th century plan of this harbor on St. Vincent, one of the Cape Verde Islands. A scarce Kitchin map, with a large floral title cartouche which includes a head at the bottom of it and a recognition view of the island across the bottom.
Beautifully hand colored. In near excellent antiquarian condition, on a c. 8 " W x 10 1/4 " H sheet, image area c. 5 3/4 " W x 8 1/4 " H.
