"Scholss Withal" issued c.1719, Frankfurt, by A.M. Mallet. A charming early 18th century view of central London with numerous horse drawn carriages and a regatta in the Thames river. An uncommon view.

Mallet was a well traveled military engineer and geographer who worked in 17th century France under King Louis XIV. This map is from his scarce monumental work "Description de L'Univers."

Very appealing visually, in near excellent antiquarian condition on a c. 6 7/8" W x 8 1/8" H sheet, image area c. 6 1/2" W x 8" H.  Attractively hand colored.
