This fine heavily illustrated newspaper focuses on the most important issues of the time period. Depicted on the cover is Henry Davis capturing the battle flag of the thirtieth Louisiana regiment, at the battle of Ezra Church. Other illustrations include: a full page illustration of admiral Farragut's fleet bombarding Fort Morgan, a large portrait of rear-admiral David G.
