A beautiful early 18th century map of the Americas, of particular note for its dramatic and bold depiction of California as an island. With a delightful cherub cartouche at upper left.

Very appealing visually, in near excellent antiquarian condition on a c. 13 3/4" W x 9 1/2" H sheet, image area c. 10 1/4" W x 8 1/8" H. Beautifully hand colored.
