"North Africa" and "South Africa." A very detailed folio sheet of North Africa and South Africa, early 19th century engraved map, with countless place names, and details not normally encountered on maps of this region. Much more detailed than the photograph reveals.
From the very scarce 1821 variant issue of this elephant folio atlas.
On an c. 21 1/4 " W x 28 1/4 " H sheet, (image size is c. 19 3/4"W x 23 1/4"H). In VG + condition, with a slight bit of light offsetting and a bit of paper ripple as seen through Northern Africa, which has a minimal visual impact. Original strong full hand color. A nice example of this large detailed and scarce engraved map.
